Danse, multidisciplinary performance
How does a group react when it must follow instructions? And what happens when the audience is invited to take part and become an integral part of the performance? Catalan artist Roger Bernat’s entire body of work is centered on these questions, redefining the limits of theatre and dance and the very notion of representation.
Based on the historic choreography created by Pina Bausch in 1976 to the music of Igor Stravinsky, Roger Bernat invites audience to interpret The Rite of Spring. Equipped with audio headsets, the audience will receive instructions to interpret—step by step—this mythical work. This is a fun and original exploration of our relation to movement and imagination, where the audience plays the lead role.
